On Friday (October 3), Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs announced he will miss the band’s upcoming shows in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney as he undergoes treatment for prostate cancer diagnosed earlier this year. The 60-year-old musician said he has responded “really well to treatment,” which allowed him to participate in the first part of the band’s 2025 reunion tour, while adding, “I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care.” Arthurs expressed sadness about missing the shows, but assured fans he expects to return for the South American leg beginning in November. Oasis shared their support for Arthurs on social media, writing, “Wishing you all the best with your treatment,” but the band did not disclose who will fill in during his absence. This marks Arthurs’ second cancer battle, having overcome tonsillar cancer in 2022 that caused him to step away from a run of shows with Liam Gallagher at the time. (Rolling Stone)
